Back in February 2016, Alison became part of this community when she was hit in the head by a commercial door, recovered and then the same year Alison had experiences another TBI this one lands her in the hospital for various reasons.
During this time period Alison says that she has gone from “lost to found” and has since become an artist, a strong advocate for this community and has learned to embrace her unique self.
Alison, or Ali as she like to be called, has an amazing positive energy that is contagious, I promise. Throughout the conversation we touch on Ali’s perspectives in finding her uniqueness, how the community can help itself more effectively, her personal growth during recovery and how a TBI affects more than just the injured person.
