It’s Terry and Drew Niemann telling our stories of healing from Post Concussion Syndrome (PCS) as the foundation.

A podcast is offered where we also talk to other survivors and their families about their journeys. All is done in an effort to help others experiencing PCS, their families and their caregivers.

A Battle Within is a very intentional name. For those who do not know, people who experience a Traumatic Brain Injury (TBI) often times have a war waging internally to find themselves again- all while trying to recover. Sometimes it requires that survivors learn to accept a new self.

The stories begin in early September 2013. This is when Terry suffers her first concussion from a bicycle accident. It turns out to be the first of multiple concussions Terry experiences over a three year period.

With each concussion comes new challenges, adjustments and lifestyle changes to address. We explore the journeys and offer the stories as a way to help those who have been forced to adopt new ways of being.
