132: Exercise and TBI’s

Hello Warriors and Battle Buddies!

Welcome to A BATTLE WITHIN, Episode 132!

Today’s chat is built around exercise after experiencing a Traumatic Brain Injury. We explore some ways that it is beneficial and pass along some comments from some scientific study on the subject. We all know that movement and exercise in general is good for us, but it can be even more challenging to those in this community to get started or continue.

Terry has a very unique perspective on the subject. She was workout machine, a certified personal trainer, and a Special Education teacher prior to her last injury. Currently she is building a modified program for herself. Blending this three attributes together really offers some cool insight into the topic discussed today.

We touch base on some science, the specific benefits for TBI Warriors, starting where you are at, as well as offering some strategies. As an added bonus we also pass along some pointers to the Battle Buddies and how they may be able to help their loved one along.
