Aayna will tell us about her story of slipping down the stairs at home and ending up with a concussion and Post Concussion symptoms that came about in the months following.
In addition to talking us through some of the tools and resources she used in her recovery she talks to what it is like to be a teenager trying to heal. What kind of support has she gotten at school? Do they get it? How have her friends reacted and been helpful?
Aayna has taken this experience that is now 3 years in the making and has developed and non Profit called Calming my Storm.
The young organization is really interested in helping lead the charge in why female concussions seem to be more prevalent and helping those with severe migraines begin to feel better.
